Oh boy, launch day for the Nintendo Switch 2 is here! If you’re holding one right now, kudos to planning ahead. Seriously, did you pre-order back in April? ‘Cause if not, you’re probably in the “good luck with that” club right now. This thing seems to have just vanished off the shelves, poof.
Alright, so what’s up with the Switch 2? It’s like someone decided the original Switch needed a growth spurt. This thing is bigger, no doubt—like those Joy-Cons aren’t skipping their veggies anymore. And yeah, new dock, too. Plus, there’s this revamped kickstand situation.
The screen? We’re talking 7.9 inches here and about 13.9 mm thick—skip measuring your phone, this isn’t about that! Plus, a pretty sweet 1080p display, which, by the way, is quite the jump from the old Switch’s 720p. Pair it with the dock and boom, you might hit that magical 4K with compatible games. Ditch the dock and the LCD still impresses us with 120 frames per second. HDR? Yeah, if the software’s feeling it that day.
