Oh man, where to start with this wild ride of an event recap? So, today was the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, and yeah, a whole bunch of games were shown off. Tons of stuff happened—like, seriously, my brain’s still spinning. Let’s see if I can untangle it a bit, but no promises about staying on track.
First off, SpongeBob fans! Big news—like, maybe not life-changing, but still cool. Pre-orders are live for “SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide.” I know, right? Apparently, you can be both SpongeBob and Patrick, and karaoke with David Hasselhoff. Okay, I made that part up, but his music’s there. And if you pre-order, you get some costume thingies. Because why not?
Gothic fans—oh boy, there’s a demo up today! Can you believe it? Jump back into the Valley of the Mines. And trust me, no spoilers! This demo isn’t in the final game, so… kind of a one-shot deal. They drop the original trilogy in 2026 too. So if you’re into RPGs… alright, moving on.
Who’s Goldman? No idea, but there’s a trailer for “The Eternal Life of Goldman.” It looks… artistic? Maybe? It’s got this platformer vibe, super precision stuff. Like, one wrong step and crash! Might be my new obsession. Or not. Hard to tell sometimes.
A peek at “Reanimal” was there too, from the folks who did those Little Nightmares games. This one’s creepy, with orphans and monsters. Sounds fun, right? And it’s co-op! Whether you like online or couch co-op, they’ve got you covered.
“Tides of Tomorrow” has a new thing out—some asynchronous gameplay whatever. Heard of Digixart? They’re the ones behind it. Choices matter a lot here, big universe-changing decisions. No pressure, right?
Oh, and “Wreckfest 2” is coming. Crash, bash, and crash some more. It’s not out until 2026, but hey, anticipation is part of the fun. Smash things, get smashed—what more could you want?
And then… another sequel! “Titan Quest II.” More mythology, more hacking and slashing. It’s set in ancient Greece, I think. Sounds like a trip, literally and mythically.
“Wreckreation” got in on the spotlight, too. Think about racing but with way crazier choices. Customize everything with the Game DJ. Like, race whenever, wherever, through whatever.
So many games, so little time. And Gamescom is around the corner! More hands-on, more chaos. If you’re around, check out those SpongeBob and Reanimal demos. Meet the devs, hear them geek out. Should be quite the fun fest. Anyway, that’s my attempt at sanity for today. Let me know if anything sticks out!
