Oh boy, here we go again with Infold Games gearing up for yet another Infinity Nikki update. Seriously, who’s counting anymore? I guess I am, because this is the second one in just July. Blue Tears Season barely waved goodbye and now, bam, it’s Danqing Season coming at us.
Alright, there’s a new patch – version 1.8 if you’re keeping tabs – arriving on July 30. Big stuff happening, or so they say, but hey, that’s par for the course with these games. What’s special, you ask? Well, besides the stuff that’s sticking around (typical), there’s a limited-time shindig running from July 30 to September 2. Mark your calendars, or don’t, I’m not your boss.
Now, Danqing Season is doing a deep dive into some traditional Chinese aesthetics. Think ink paintings, all set on this place called Danqing Island. Nikki and Momo are lured in—why exactly? Beats me. Something about a secluded spot and mystery vibes.
Speaking of which, the storyline’s taking a trippy turn in a dream-like realm. Nikki, Momo, and their mystical guide, the Seer, are off to solve why the townsfolk are doing disappearing acts. It’s like a bedtime story but with more pixels.
Oh! Almost forgot the boss in this season slate – meet Inkshade: Painting Loong. Sounds menacing, or poetic, maybe both? You can try your hand at new mini-games too. One of them lets you play Weiqi, which I think is Go. I’ve never tried it, but it sounds strategic or something.
There’s also a fresh batch of costumes that are just dying to be collected. Three outfits, to be precise: Clouded Loong, Forever Bond, and Danqing Craft. Whether you actually need them, who knows? But they’re there, for anyone who can’t resist shiny new things. Check out the event calendar on Steam before you dive in; it could be handy. Or, you know, you could wing it like I often do.
Oh, and don’t forget to get the latest codes if you’re jumping back in with this update. There’s a guide floating around somewhere—probably a good idea to give it a glance, but then again, when was the last time I took my own advice?
