Hello, Trailblazers! It’s been a while since we last chatted, but the team behind Honkai: Star Rail is back with exciting news about version 2.7, aptly titled A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn. Mark your calendars because this thrilling update is set to drop on December 4. This marks the final chapter before the Astral Express heads to the enigmatic land of Amphoreus, known as the Eternal Land. As we bid farewell to our current adventure in Penacony, get ready for a whole new story that unfolds in version 3.0.

In our previous storyline, Black Swan hinted at the Crew’s next destination: Amphoreus—a realm wrapped in mystery, untouched even by the legendary Aeon of the Trailblaze, Akivili. Navigator Miss Himeko plays it smart by gathering every bit of intel on our intriguing next stop. The Crew makes one last pit stop in Penacony, reconnecting with old comrades and making cherished memories before embarking on their next audacious expedition.

### Reuniting with Familiar Faces

Vivid as ever are the memories of that unforgettable performance at the Penacony Grand Theater. As if waking from a dream, both the Astral Express and Penacony come alive, and Sunday joins the scene once more. Having stepped down from the helm of the Oak Family, he muses about exploring the world as a mortal, free from the blessings of Harmony and Order. With a new dream of utopia in hand, he returns to Penacony with the enigmatic Pepeshi, Wonweek, by his side. Sunday’s one goal? To deliver a final, unforgettable show before setting off on his new path. His neatly donned robe and hood not only refresh his appearance but also cleverly disguise his true identity for his farewell dance.

Sunday steps into the game as a 5-star Imaginary character with exceptional Support skills. His abilities enable an ally to execute an action immediately and boost their DMG output. If the ally has a Summon, they too can act instantly and enhance the DMG Boost effect even further. Sunday’s Ultimate is a powerful energy regenerator for an ally and their Summon, transforming them into “The Beatified,” complete with a halo boost to their CRIT DMG.

Our old friend Tingyun steps back into the spotlight with an intriguing twist as Fugue, a 5-star Fire character. Tingyun has faced adversity with her identity stolen and the ominous mark of Destruction lurking within. After her life-threatening encounter with Phantylia during version 1.2, Tingyun was saved by Madam Ruan Mei from the Genius Society, allowing her a fresh start. As Himeko and Welt visit Madam Ruan Mei, they resolve to bring Miss Tingyun back, reigniting her journey.

Fugue shines with her ability to aid allies in reducing Toughness irrespective of enemy weaknesses while in the field. Enemies come under the Cloudflame Luster state, and upon diminishing, they’re hit with Break DMG again. Moreover, Fugue amplifies ally Break Effects and, through her Ultimate, deals Fire DMG to all foes, bypassing weaknesses to directly reduce their Toughness.

Also making a return are the highly coveted 5-star characters, General Jing Yuan and Firefly, during the version 2.7 warp event. Their robust support prepares players for future adventures.

### Enhanced Gameplay Experiences in Version 2.7

Beyond fresh faces and stories, version 2.7 offers Trailblazers an immersive journey. Step into the Astral Express’ upgraded Party Car, where elegance meets nostalgia. It boasts a spacious reception area and a sleek marble bar, complete with a classic bartending robot. The stunning view of the cosmos becomes your backdrop as you unwind with a drink with the Crew or enjoy a moment of quiet reflection by the window.

Ascending the stairs leads to the Trailblazer’s quarters, ready to be customized in the Cosmic Home Décor Guide event. Transform an empty storage room into your personal retreat, with cozy sections like a bedroom and bathroom. Channel your journey through the stars as you gather furniture using Express Funds earned from tasks.

On top of that, the Relic system is getting a revamp in version 3.0, allowing players to determine a Relic’s Main and Subsidiary Stats during synthesis. Utilize new tools, including the Wishful Resin alongside the Self-Modeling Resin, to set these stats all at once.

Before wrapping up, Pom-Pom has uncovered a little gem while sorting through storage on the Trailblazer. From version 2.7’s launch until version 3.2’s end, players can claim a Gift of the Express, granting them a choice of a regular 5-star character.
