Okay, so Ubisoft just laid out their cool new plans for Assassin’s Creed Shadows—Year 1 roadmap and all that jazz. Loads of stuff coming up on this menu: parkour tweaks, fresh story quests, extra difficulty levels, plus some other shiny things.
Here’s the deal: freebie update’s slated for early May 2025. Mark that one down, I guess. And then there’s this killer DLC—you gotta pay for this one—Claws of Awaji. But hey, if you pre-ordered, it’s your lucky day! No extra cash needed. Release date? No clue yet. Feels like they’re keeping it a mystery on purpose. Why, you ask? I’ve got no idea.
Oh, almost forgot! The game’s got its one-month anniversary under its belt. Woohoo and all that, I think? Ubisoft’s keeping a tight lip on sales, though they threw out this tidbit saying the game attracted over 3 million players in just a week. Not too shabby, huh? Still, they’re saying AC Valhalla holds the crown as the best-selling. Guess Shadows didn’t quite reach the throne.
So, they leaked out this whole roadmap party, and apparently, in early May we’ll get a quest called The Works of Luis Frois. Who’s that? Some Portuguese priest guy, kinda important in-game. This update is supposed to bring a Codex update and make playing a bit smoother. Quality of life improvements, they call it. Fancy term, right?
Fast forward to late May, some surprise collab’s coming up. Mysterious stuff since Ubisoft’s not spilling who it’s with. They’ll also roll out a photo mode tweak and, wait for it, a parkour update! Expect Yasuke to jump around like a ninja on caffeine. Remember those eject jumps? And now with something called a vertical ledge jump. Press ‘X’ to defy gravity? Sure, why not.
As June rolls in, there’s chatter about a new ally and more quests. Difficulty’s cranked up a notch. Like things rough? This one’s for you. Also, more ways to immerse yourself in the game, not to mention showing off headgear in cutscenes because, you know, aesthetics!
The latter half of 2025’s got new collabs lined up, alongside extra Codex, Animus, and store updates. Oh, and the first major DLC, Claws of Awaji, starring our main duo on a treasure hunt. Who doesn’t love a good quest right after finishing a game? Can’t say I blame them for holding out on the exact date still.
So, there you have it. Ubisoft seems to have a packed year planned out for us Assassin’s Creed lovers. Whether you’re looking to dive into an epic tale or just want to experiment with new parkour moves, something’s cooking. Let’s hope it’s spicy.
