Tsuchida highlighted, “In our initial design phase for the PS5, we dedicated substantial research to insulation. While the fundamental architecture remains consistent in the PS5 Pro, we’ve refined it by introducing fine grooves for the liquid metal application to ensure more consistent cooling. Our foresight during the original PS5 development anticipated advancing semiconductor technology and increased density, making liquid metal technology a necessity. This prediction was spot on and pivotal in crafting the PS5 Pro.”
Beyond cooling adjustments, the PS5 Pro offers several design advancements over its predecessor.
