CHARTS: Doom The Dark Ages Launches at No. 2 on Steam

The latest Doom game, The Dark Ages, somehow snagged the runner-up spot on Steam last week. Pretty wild, right? More people seem hooked on Counter-Strike 2, which totally makes sense if you’re into that high-stakes, fast-trigger stuff.

Anyway, so this game, PUBG: Battlegrounds—yeah, it jumped a whopping 14 places. I guess that whole PUBG Global Series 8 in Shanghai worked some magic. Honestly, I would’ve flown there if I had the cash. Or maybe not. Planes freak me out a bit, but the excitement is tempting.

Steam Deck? Still doing its thing at fourth. It’s like the little engine that could, never really budging. Then you’ve got the crazy anticipation for Stellar Blade. People are already lining up, metaphorically, of course, since it’s all digital. June 11th, they’re saying, post the 2024 PS5 tease. Can’t wait—or maybe I can?

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 took a nosedive, plummeting three slots. I guess RPGs have it rough sometimes, unless you slap a fat discount on them like that other RPG. Sixty percent off, and bam! It’s a fan favorite again. Who would’ve thought, right?

Helldivers 2, out of nowhere, surged 37 spots. Must’ve been some killer new stuff added. Speaking of additions, that time-stealing girl game (Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time) is right on its heels, with a launch set for May 21st. Mark your calendars—or don’t.

Wrapping up this list of digital greatness is The Precinct. Just squeezed into tenth place. I heard it’s a cop adventure. Sounds intriguing or maybe not, depending on your mood.
