They’re unleashing a bunch of sweet discounts on PS4 and PS5 games. One that caught my eye is this open-world game everyone and their grandmother seems to love. You know, it’s based on that famous series—Harry something? Oh, Hogwarts! That’s it.
Guess what? "Hogwarts Legacy" is an insane 75% off. Yeah, you heard that right. The Digital Deluxe Edition, full of all sorts of wizardy goodness, is down from a whopping $79.99 to just $19.99. But you gotta hustle, ’cause this deal vanishes like a puff of smoke on July 3 at… checks notes 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time. Don’t you just hate those ridiculous hours? Who’s even up at that time?
Anyway, so the game, it’s this whole epic adventure set in the universe started by those Harry Potter books. You’re, like, exploring magical critters, making potions, throwing some spells—basic wizarding stuff, you know? It’s set way back in the 1800s, and you get to decide all sorts of important stuff. Could be thrilling. Or, maybe not. Depends on your take.
And oh, the Deluxe Edition packages in a bunch of extra perks like the Haunted Hogsmeade Quest and some cool Dark Arts gear. That hat though… don’t even get me started.
When this game came out in 2023, critics basically showered it with love. Metacritic had it averaging at 84 from, like, 96 different critics. We even gave it a 9 out of 10. Top notch, huh?
I do wish they’d focus more on the social side of Hogwarts in the next installment. I mean, fancy being a wizard without juicy drama? Get outta here. But hey, flaws and all, it’s still a wild ride. Oh, did I ever imagine we’d crown it an early GOTY contender for 2023? Nope. Yet here we are!
