Ugh, alright, so here’s the deal with this Tony Hawk thing. They’re doing a remaster of Pro Skater 3 and 4, and guess who’s back? Bam Margera. Yep, the guy who was mysteriously left out before is now wiggling his way back in. Can you believe it? Activision says he’s gonna be a secret skater. You know, like unlocked when you do some fancy trick? I remember how much time I wasted trying to unlock stuff — anyway, that’s another story.
Now, here’s the wild part — Bam’s been all over these games, from THPS 3 to Proving Ground. So, of course, when news hit that he’d been left out, people were like, “What on earth?” Reportedly, Tony Hawk himself, being the legend he is, nudged Activision. Like, “Hey, he’s gotta be in!” It’s all a bit dramatic, right? Roger Bagley spilled this on The Nine Club podcast. Really, it sounds like a movie plot — Tony pushing for Bam, and bam, they fly him out for a body scan. Imagine flying just for that.
There’s even this behind-the-scenes video where Bam’s getting all scanned up — and he’s all nostalgic about THPS 2. Apparently, the dude missed flights just cause he couldn’t stop playing. Who hasn’t had a game they got totally lost in? I’ve got my own list.
Mark your calendars for July 11! That’s when THPS 3 and 4 drop on, like, every console out there — from Switch to Xbox Series X. They’re boasting online multiplayer and snazzy graphics. Old favorites like Tony and Bam are back, and we’ve got some new blood, too — skaters like Rayssa Leal and Nyjah Huston. Oh, and those classic levels? They’re back — Foundry, Rio, all the good stuff. But, heads up, THPS 4’s open-ended style is getting a bit of a twist, going for more of a classic vibe. Is it just me, or does it feel like everything old is new again?
