Alright, here goes nothing. Trying to be all human about it.

So, Pokémon TCG Pocket just dropped its newest expansion, Eevee Grove, right? Yeah, we got like, what, 70 new cards? It’s not like it’s flipping everything upside down, but some of these cards, man, they’re game-changers. I mean, take Incineroar Ex with Hau — it’s like magic. Hau’s making this thing slap with just one energy, and it’s like, kaboom, 80 damage, or 170 if you’re feeling fancy with three energies. Basically, anything in its path gets wrecked. Those Sylveon Ex and Flareon Ex are giving old cards a run for their money, but hey, some are sticking around thanks to a little boost.
And let me just say, Darkrai Ex and Giratina Ex are still hanging in there. Who would’ve guessed, huh? The combo was all the rage, but now it’s kinda taking a back seat. Flareon Ex and Silvally keep crashing the party, I guess — they just knock ’em out like it’s nothing. Anyway, Solgaleo Ex — this shiny beast just keeps on shining through the third set in a row, thanks to that Eevee Grove buff.
Moving on – oh wait, what was I saying? Right, Solgaleo Ex and Shiinotic. This deck’s a train that won’t stop. It’s so quick and solid, like, you’d get Solgaleo Ex punching out damage by turn two or three. Unless the universe decides to mess with you, but that’s life, right? They run a couple of Shiinotic to streamline things, and bam, before you know it, Solgaleo’s hitting for 120 damage. The drawback? Yeah, there’s recoil, but Eevee Grove kinda mutes it, so no biggie.
Here’s the kicker — they’ve got this card, Leftovers. Sounds silly, right? Like, imagine a sandwich you forgot in the fridge. But in the game, it heals your Pokémon by 10 at the end of your turn. So Solgaleo Ex can basically hit without a care. Leftovers heals the recoil damage, and now it doesn’t need anything special to not be one-shot. Except maybe by an angry Flareon Ex or Incineroar Ex. Solgaleo’s got fire weakness, so, it’s whatever.
Anyway, it sounds awesome until you realize you can’t use Poison Barb with Leftovers. Shiinotic loves Poison Barb — more than my cat loves lasagna. But once Solgaleo’s taking names with its Sol Breaker, the healing makes it even harder to take down. Like, take that!
Even when you got combos like Sabrina linked up with Decidueye Ex trying to pull something sneaky like Pierce the Pain… Leftovers just keeps Solgaleo smiling. Unless there’s some huge change, I’d bet this deck’s gonna be king for a while. Who knows, maybe by the time the A4 set rolls around? But, until then, guess we’ll wait and see.
