Wow, so it’s hot everywhere, huh? And I don’t just mean the weather. Steam’s doing the whole “let’s melt your wallet” thing again with their Summer Sale. Starting, um, Thursday, June 26 at 10 a.m. PDT, or like 1 p.m. EDT if you’re on that side of the country. Two whole weeks of… well, figuring out if you need a new hobby or just more video games. Spoiler: probably more games. Ends July 10. Mark your calendars or don’t, I guess.
And Valve, being Valve, decided to drop a trailer. A parody? Yep. Weirdly, it’s like the Fresh Prince jam but it’s called “An Ode to Steam Summer Sale.” Who performed this, you ask? Steam Lady. Whoever she is. Maybe it’s supposed to be ironic. Or maybe it’s just awkward. Either way.
But hey, the games they teased — got classics like Balatro and Death Stranding (never finished it, by the way), plus Pico Park 2, Fox Hole, Lethal Company, and the list rambles on. So yeah, watch that sizzle reel if that’s your thing. Up top or… somewhere around here.
Scoot on over to Steam to see all the discounts. It’s like a big treasure hunt, except the treasure is, well, digital. More games than you probably have time for. But that’s life, isn’t it?
