Gotta say, the whole FromSoftware thing with Elden Ring Nightreign is cracking me up. No clue why, but they just can’t keep the surprises under wraps. They’re teasing us with this duos mode and now—bam!—we get these so-called “enhanced Nightlord” fights. Honestly, should’ve seen it coming.
So, about what’s new: the game just threw a curveball with these Everdark Sovereigns. Apparently, they’re tougher, meaner versions of the Nightlords, just to make your life harder. First one’s here already, and I stumbled upon it, like, because who announces stuff officially anymore?
Anyway—wait, no. Backtrack a sec. These Everdark Sovereigns? Each week there’s gonna be a different one to face, but—and here’s the kicker—you gotta have already beat the original Nightlord to even stand a chance. Pretty exclusive club, huh?
Oh, and then there’s this whole cycle thing. Sovereign of Gaping Jaws (Adel) is wrecking havoc now. Next, we get Sentient Pest, then Darkdrift Knight after that—talk about a parade of pain. More are brewing too, like Tricephalos and some others. Mark your calendars or don’t. Adel’s sticking around till June 25, though.
Oh, there’s this NPC, doing NPC things, you know? Trade with him using Sovereign Sigils—earned from crushing the Nightlords—for some cool Relics. Kinda feels like cosmic bartering. Not to mention, he lets you alter Nightreign’s Shifting Earth/Map Events on demand. Sigils needed, of course. But hey, easier than slaying three Nightlords every time, right?
I get the feeling more secrets are tucked away there, waiting for a nosy player to dig ‘em out. If you’re struggling, I whipped up a guide on Nightlords’ weaknesses, ‘cause going in blind ain’t fun. Then again, quite a ride! For anything else, there’s the trusty Nightreign guide to light your path, metaphorically speaking.
