Apple Intelligence, the tech giant’s suite of AI tools that you’ve seen on iOS and Mac, is set to make its debut on Vision Pro in April with the public rollout of visionOS 2.4. But if you’re one of those eager developers with advanced settings switched on, you’ve probably already had a chance to dive in.
As imagined, Apple Intelligence is bringing a host of cutting-edge AI features to Vision Pro. You’ll find writing tools, AI-generated imagery, smart reply options, natural language search in Photos, AI summaries, and custom emoji features—all things you’ve likely been enjoying on iOS and Mac since last October. What makes it even more exciting for Vision Pro is its reliance on voice and hand-based text input, taking these tools to a new level of interactivity.
Another interesting addition is the upgrade to the Guest User mode. It’s designed to streamline the experience of sharing your Vision Pro headset with others. Simply connect with an iPhone or iPad nearby, and guiding your friends through your headset’s features becomes much less of a chore. No more awkward moments trying to direct someone else through the interface by distance.
The new 2.4 release also introduces Spatial Gallery, a carefully curated selection of spatial photos, videos, and panoramas, crafted by talented artists, filmmakers, and photographers. This feature will roll out in several countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, the UK, and the US.
In addition, Vision Pro is gearing up for a stronger partnership with iOS. Once visionOS 2.4 officially lands in April, you’ll be able to manage app and game downloads, explore spatial content, and check your device details from an iPhone through a new Apple Vision Pro iOS app. This app is expected to be available with the launch of iOS 18.4.
Initially, the 2.4 release with Apple Intelligence will only be offered in US English. However, Apple plans to introduce more features and language support throughout the year.
While an exact release date hasn’t been pinned down beyond the general timeframe of April, developers can already access the beta version of visionOS 2.4. If you’re interested in hopping on the developer bandwagon, just head to Settings > Privacy & Security, switch on “Developer Mode,” and restart your Vision Pro to get started.
