With thousands of games debuting annually across Xbox consoles, PCs, and the cloud, one might think a panel decides the best. However, the Excellence Awards reflect your engagement with Xbox over the past year. We outlined four key categories, each demonstrating players’ enthusiasm, dedication, and affection for these games. Those categories are:
Store Rating: Features the highest-rated content from our stores that debuted in 2024, each boasting at least 500 ratings.
Player Engagement: Celebrates games with the top average hours played per user within their first six weeks on the market.
Daily Active Users: Acknowledges games, expansions, or major updates logging the highest single-day active users in 2024. You’ll find some enduring titles here due to noteworthy updates made last year.
Units Sold: Focuses on the top-selling content across Xbox and Microsoft outlets.
