Wow, so here’s the scoop on Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist. It’s like, this big Kickstarter thing, kicking off next week, aiming to bring back the coziness of Orbus VR — which, by the way, just closed up shop recently. RIP Orbus.
You know, it’s happening on June 24th, this whole Eldramoor Kickstarter. They’re revving up for a VR MMORPG drop on the Quest 3 and SteamVR headsets. I mean — late next year is a while away, but time flies, right?
The masterminds? Ex-Orbus players who felt like, why not us? So, Resolute Games sprang to life early last year. February 2024, to be exact. These folks seem determined.
The game pitch is kinda epic: you wander into Eldramoor, this misty isle where you’re supposed to feel at home. It’s like, you follow some legendary dude, Eldranis? Yeah, you fight evil, learn cool skills, and chill at a tavern. It’s a mix of mystery and mayhem. This ancient baddie is waking up — and it’s not to make friends with everyone.
Resolute’s got all these classes lined up: Warrior, Mage, Monk, Alchemist. Sounds fancy. And there’ll be raids, dungeons, co-op, even fishing — which I guess is essential? It’s like they threw a full kitchen sink of activities in there. PvP zones, mini-games at a tavern — though, maybe not right at the start.
Funding? Still under wraps. But CEO Lynn Souza—who definitely sounds like she’s got it figured out—mentioned aiming for something like Zenith’s goals, $25,000 to start.
Now, VR MMORPGs? Tough gig. Orbus vanished earlier this year, and Ramen VR of Zenith fame is stepping back too, ‘cause money. Ilysia VR’s doing well though, still going strong. That Kickstarter sure worked wonders.
Souza’s talking about wanting something more than Orbus. Quest 1’s been left in the dust since 2019, she says, and both Zenith and Ilysia intrigued her — she backed Ilysia on Kickstarter. Got a soft spot for these projects.
They’re thinking December 2026 for launch, aiming for an end-of-2025 alpha, summer 2026 beta. Mark your calendars if you like planning super far ahead.
Anyway, check out the Kickstarter on June 24th — it’s open a whole month. You can also wishlist Eldramoor on Steam now. Fun times ahead!
