I’m really not even sure where to start, but here it goes—Ra Ra Boom. Finally, it’s out there for everyone to dive into on Xbox Series X|S. And yeah, I’m genuinely stoked for you to see everything the Gylee Games team has crafted with all their heart and soul.
Let’s chat. Ra Ra Boom is this side-scrolling beat ’em up, right? And I’m really itching to fill you in on some bad guys—well, not bad guys, more like enemies, I guess. The kind you love to hate. I’m just gonna go over three that stand out for me.
Early on, we thought it might be fun to toss some lanes into the mix, so players would have a new playground to battle these baddies. You know, new strategies and all that jazz.
### The Brute
Ah, The Brute. It’s all about those thrill-seeking vibes, like our fave roller coaster, or something like that. Picture this: train tracks as lanes in the arena. Pretty wild, right? So, we created a monster that morphs into a coaster cart. Just imagine the chaos—a full-on boss fight with a twist.
The Brute’s got this intense pounce move, so get ready to spot his signal before he leaps. Plus, there’s a bite. It sounds kinda terrifying, doesn’t it? But wait, he transforms into this roller coaster that multiplies! Ain’t that something? You gotta jump lanes or maybe go head-to-head with ranged attacks. We aimed for a multi-phase fight, different moves for different folk, and yeah, it came together.
### Martin
And then there’s Martin. Last but definitely not least in the enemy lineup, right? He’s in the Arcade level. Seemed like we were missing something… and boom—a flying enemy became the answer. But imagine the awkwardness, trying to figure out where he floats around. Total chaos.
We flopped big time before we nailed it. Initially, we ditched it because players were ready to tear their hair out. But in the end, it was all about holographic legs—it made Martin a kinda epic toddler robot on stilts. Quite a look, I tell ya.
### Bruce
Bruce, oh Bruce—what a nightmare to perfect. This dude’s a boss-chase sequence, and wow, the motion sickness was no joke. Took ages, but fine-tuned the background motion. Eventually got it playable. Initially, it was all just running and dodging which, let’s face it, got old after a bit.
Then Eugene jumped in—an anxious little robot that bumbled alongside you. At first, Eugene was just explosive, but it needed more oomph. Slowed things, gave some player control back, and kind of… found the magic.

So, what’s the takeaway? Try Ra Ra Boom and lemme know which enemy gives you that sweet satisfaction when you smack them around.
And yeah, the game is a riot—4-player co-op, mad AI on Earth, and you’re this ninja cheerleader—an odd mix, but it works. Levels, skills, chaos, all that jazz. Whether you’re all about that close-up combat or love sniping from afar, Ra Ra Boom’s got ya covered. Go on, save the planet—books can wait.
Right. I’m off for now—till the next chaotic adventure!
