Sure, here’s a reimagined version:

You know those Destiny games, right? The ones with the people swinging around laser swords and zipping through space on bikes that don’t touch the ground? Always seemed kinda like Star Wars to me. But soon, they’re not just flirting with it – they’re diving right in. Yup, Destiny 2’s getting this big update called Renegades, and guess what? They got the go-ahead from Lucasfilm. Yep, real lightsabers and the big guy Darth Vader himself showing up.
Bungie, the brains behind Destiny, just dropped the bomb about this Renegades thing. It’s set to hit us on Dec. 2. Caught it on a Tuesday stream, where they laid out their Year of Prophecy plans. And the teaser? It’s like swimming in Star Wars. Imagine shooting Han Solo’s blaster or swinging a green lightsaber. And they’re rolling out these cool skins: think General Grievous, Vader, and Kylo Ren for the Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. All part of the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition. Oh, and there’s another expansion, The Edge of Fate, that’s supposed to show in July.
Not a ton of info on the Renegades yet, but we’re not just talking some Star Wars skins here. There’s this trailer clip that’s got Guardians zooming around a place that’s got a real Tatooine vibe. Bungie folks chatted about it during the stream – that desert world? Total Star Wars terrain.
And hey, beyond those Guardian looks, there’s gear for your sparrows and whatnot. If you can’t snag a snazzy Marksman-H decoration for your Ghost by year’s end, something’s definitely off.
Oh, and Destiny 2 wasn’t a stranger to Star Wars nods earlier. Back in February, they tossed in Stormtrooper and Death Trooper goodies with an expansion they called Heresy. Come this year, both Renegades and The Edge of Fate are landing on all the usual gaming suspects – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Series X. So yeah, lots to look forward to.
