Oh man, where do I even start with this thing… So, Bigscreen is finally shipping out their Beyond 2 headsets after, I don’t know, delays? Like, classic. Anyway, I came across this while sipping coffee, and suddenly—bingo!—I remembered having a dream about VR. I mean, why does my brain do this to me?
They say they’re gonna ship throughout August, maybe September, cause there’s a pileup of orders. Seriously, it’s like Christmas in a VR world with all these people wanting one. I can’t decide if that’s cool or kinda stressful. Maybe both?
And check it out, they’ve got two versions: the regular Beyond 2 and the Beyond 2e—has eye-tracking or something, so you’re paying a bit more. $1,219 vs. $1,019 for the basic one. It’s like buying a cookie and then being like, “Oh wait, there’s a cookie with sprinkles.” You know the feeling?
Here’s some wild info: during the first 24 hours, they sold more of these headsets than the original in four months. Wrap your head around that. And in 11 days, they outsold all of Beyond 1’s first year. Wild, right? So they’re hustling—hiring people, ramping up production in LA, even sending folks to check things out overseas. Must be a big deal.
Side note, for those into custom cushions or the Halo Mount thingy, there’s gonna be more waiting. Honestly, that kind of sounds like my life right now—always waiting on stuff.
Oh, and if you’re still waiting on a Beyond 1, good news slash you won’t even notice it—but you’re getting upgraded to Beyond 2. Just like that.
The cherry on top? They won’t jack up the prices thanks to tariffs from China. So, at least there’s one less thing to worry about. Anyway—does this all make you want to dive into VR or just take a nap? Maybe both, but who knows…
